Hungry foot traffic along Heidke Street in Avoca need little direction to find classic American diner go-to, RJ’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Diner, as the bright red frontage makes it quite hard to ignore. Complete with red leather booths, chequered tiles and a life-sized picture of James Dean, all that’s missing is a Marilyn Monroe double or a long-haired dancing John Travolta in a suit.
