This number increased by 31% over the previous year. This 2025 increase was the result of sustained promotional activities, the introduction of the e-visa system, and the increasing collaboration with Indian tour operators.
Morocco has a daily visitor average of 20 million, and in 2025, the number of Indian citizens who visited rose markedly to 54,000 from 41,000 in 2024. The increase was a result of promotional activities from the Moroccan National Tourism Office (MNTO) and the setting up of an India-specific tourism office in 2023, along with the collaboration of Indian tour operators. This resulted in a 123% increase in the number of Indian tourists to Morocco in 2024 compared to 2023.
The increasing number of travelers from India is largely due to the successful marketing campaign and the implementation of an e-visa system that enables travelers to obtain their visas in a matter of hours or within four working days. Consequently, travelers from India looking for an immersive travel experience now consider Morocco as one of the top travel destinations.
